Research week continues!! We went to the computer lab and investigated real/bogus websites. Students had to evaluate a list of websites in groups and determine whether they were credible sources or not!
6B Superheroes strike again!! This time we delivered brooms to every Middle School classroom (something everyone is always looking for).

Designing our OWN CHARACTERS for Drama! The kids were so into it they stayed in their seats working even after the lunch bell rang *wipes proud tear* Alhamdulillah! Haha.
Marking off books on the 100-book chart! Alhamdulillah we read 100 books in a FLASH (once we read 100, we are able to help contribute books to children/schools in need)! Way before Scholastic's May deadline Alhamdulillah! I'm so proud of my butterflies Ma'shaa Allah.!

SCIENCE FAIR A! I was INCREDIBLY proud of all my Dr.'s! Ma'shaa Allah they all showed very inventive and detailed projects! Br. Yahya also came by to see our fair as well, Alhamdulillah.
Research Week! It will continue after March Break In'shaa Allah! We are learning skills such as how to narrow your topic down, how to search, how to choose CREDIBLE websites online, how to avoid plagiarism...etc!

6B Superheroes strike again! This time we made a card for Sr. Rabia (school secretary) plus got her a Chapters gift card. It was a lot of fun surprising her, Alhamdulillah!

Tribes activity. Students had to silently get themselves in a line in order of their birthdays- this activity helped build their non-verbal communication skills (and it was LOTS of fun to watch *cackles*)

Social Studies debate on Quebec separatism.
Sr. M's cousin Amna came to visit! We did some more Tribes activities: mirror/mirror (students have to mimic their partner's movements) and car/driver (one person is the car and has their eyes closed- the 'driver' has to put their hands on the cars shoulder and direct them where to go. It's HILARIOUS to watch, especially as the drivers try to avoid collisions with furniture and other cars). :)

Islamic Studies- we were talking about the Prophet (SAW)'s kindness towards everyone, regardless of their faith or background. We discussed how he struck up a peace treaty with the Jewish community in Madinah as soon as he got there! We then brainstormed ways to promote interfaith dialogue/positivity.
Another paper airplane contest! We had three 'airports' with different tasks assigned (e.g. fly your airplane close to a target [apple] and make your plane do a trick in the air [e.g. loop-de-loop]).
